Carrie Jo Umba, CPA, MPA

Carrie Jo is an owner and Co-Director of Tax Services  at Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S.  She started her career as an intern and has been with the firm for over 20 years. She has expertise in business transitions, working with closely held businesses and their entrepreneurial owners towards strategic estate and gift planning. She is involved with tax return and consultation services for clients in a variety of industries and leads the HKP Succession Advisory team.

Educational Background 

Carrie Jo is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a B.A. in Business Administration and a Masters of Professional Accounting.  Upon graduation, she began her public accounting career with Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S. in 1997 and earned her C.P.A. in 1998.  She is also a 2020 graduate of the Emerging Leaders Academy Program through Upstream Academy.
